Britney Spears and Beyonce are going to be VMA buddies! The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards released a video showing where some of the celebs will be seated on Sunday, and it turns out the divas are seated right next to each other.

Teen couple Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are obviously seated together, with seven-time nominee Adele one row behind. The Jersey Shore cast also gets prime seating with a front-row placement.

In some cases, seat assignments seem to have been arranged to intentionally put odd pairings together. That's certainly what we would do if we were in charge! Lil Wayne will be near Lady Gaga, one of the few remaining superstar artists with whom the rapper hasn't yet collaborated. And traditional pop crooner Tony Bennett, who is taking part in an Amy Winehouse tribute, will be right in front of young rapper Wiz Khalifa.

The VMAs air on Sunday. Katy Perry leads the way with nine nominations. Gaga will most likely kick off the show with a performance of 'You and I' featuring Brian May.
