Juanes, Juan Luis Guerra and Romeo Santos are among the Latin stars who received 2013 Grammy nominations, which were announced last night (Dec. 6) in Nashville.

Juanes (and Guerra, who produced the album) just captured Album of the Year at the Latin Grammy Awards for 'MTV Unplugged.' That record is a contender for the 2013 Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album. Juanes won the category in 2009 and will be a favorite to do so again. He spent much of 2012 playing acoustic concerts in support of the album.

Juanes will face stiff competition in the category from Jesse y Joy, who took home four trophies at the Latin Grammys, including Song of the Year. Other nominees for the award include Ricardo Arjona, Fonseca, and Kany Garcia.

Bachata singer Romeo Santos' 'Formula Vol. 1' earned a nod for Best Tropical Latin Album, which also features Raul Lara y Sus Soneros, Marlow Rosado y La Riqueña, and Eddie Montalvo. Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album contenders include Ana Tijoux, Sistema Bomb, Quetzal, Carla Morrison, and Campo.
