The "unstoppable" Adele -- that's how actress Jennifer Lawrence described her when introducing the singer -- returned to the stage for the first time since last year's Grammys. She performed her Oscar nominated James Bond theme 'Skyfall' at the 2013 Oscars tonight (Feb. 24).

The new mother, who gave birth since her last major performance, hasn't missed a step, a note or a beat. She sounded as flawless as ever.

Dressed in a figure-flattering, sparkly, knee-length black dress by Jenny Packham, Adele sang her Bond theme amidst string players and a backing choir. She was animated, expressing herself with her hands and rocking back in forth, keeping time with the rhythm and reflecting the melody with her gestures.

When the British songstress hit the song's final notes, she really let 'er rip. It wasn't showy like Jennifer Hudson's performance earlier in the evening. She doesn't have to show off or be all flashy with runs and fills. She just is the best singer of her generation.

Adele had a sheepish grin on her lovely face after she wrapped the last note and was met with a rousing round of applause. It's like she knows how darn good she is, but is humble about it.

The singer looked lovely, and admitted on the red carpet that she dresses for comfort and doesn't care about trends. It was most definitely the right choice for her plus-sized figure.

She also grew out her hair a bit and the thick, lush waves framed her face beautifully.

Welcome back, Adele. Please tour soon. We need more of that voice.
