If you were watching the 2015 Oscars last night (Feb. 22), odds are pretty good you remember watching the JC Penny commercial posted above. The commercial was played during the telecast twice, and does a great job showcasing the way an idea eventually turns into a fully-realized product. In this specific commercial's case, the product is clothing, and the 30-second clip takes us through the process of sketching out an idea that eventually turns into a dress or a blazer or a purse.

The commercial also features an insanely catchy song in the background, with a female vocalist sporting a cool, retro sound. The sound is reminiscent of 60s girls groups, with a heavy soul and rock-n-roll influence. What's the song?

The song is called "Love Letter" and is by the nine-piece soul band from Australia known as Clairy Browne & the Bangin' Rockettes. If the song "Love Letter" sounds at all familiar to you, you may have heard it when the song was featured in a different commercial -- that time for Heineken. You can check that one out here. Fronted by vocalist Clairy Brown, the band formed in 2009 and currently have two EPs out. They have since performed at the 2013 SXSW festival and traveled across the United States for a full summer tour in the summer and fall of 2014.
