2NE1 just signed off with their heartbreaking swan song, "Goodbye," days ago.

But Minzy, who left the South Korean girl group early last year to pursue her own solo career (and also had no idea the final 2NE1 song was even coming out) — is only getting started.

In a new V-app live session with fans this week, the 23-year-old newly independent star revealed that her debut solo effort should arrive sometime before the summer.

"In the first half of 2017, I will be meeting everyone with my album," she revealed, according to AllKPop.

After deciding not to renew her contract with YG Entertainment in early 2016, Minzy signed with Music Works to embark on her solo career. She was originally due to debut last November, but reportedly failed to find the perfect lead song to make her introduction.

At the same time, Minzy was just confirmed as part of the upcoming soundtrack for MBC K-drama Rebel: Thief Who Stole The People, in which she'll be singing a ballad called "I Wanted To Love." The song will be her fist major solo effort since leaving 2NE1.

She was also recently confirmed as part of the cast of the second season of K-reality show Sisters' Slam Dunk alongside I.O.I.'s Jeon So-mi, which follows participant's pursuit of their dreams. The show airs in mid-February.

Basically, it's about to be a Minzy-filled 2017.
