5 Seconds of Summer took over New York City for Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series this morning, as thousands of fans packed Central Park to hear them play. Luke Hemmings' thumbs-up above definitely captured the events' overall vibe.

The quartet kicked things off with "She Looks So Perfect" from their 2014 self-titled debut — partially because it's a beloved fan favorite, but also to jog radio-play recognition from GMA viewers who may be less familiar with teen-oriented pop punk. "Oh yeah, I've heard this song," somebody's dad said out there in America this morning, as he squinted at the TV.

They launched into the hit, with a vocal assist from the crowd:

Next was "She's Kinda Hot," the lead single from their upcoming Looks Good, Feels Good. While Luke's vocals were less than optimal on the track during their Teen Choice Awards performance last Sunday, all four members sounded extremely tight here.

They finished their set with "What I Like About You," the New Romantics cover that's a 5SOS staple (and an early-00s sitcom starring Amanda Bynes and Jennie Garth, but that's neither here nor there).

Good Morning America's Ginger Zee also asked Michael Clifford about the recent #WeLoveYouMichael hashtag, which trended after the guitarist said onstage, "I was fixing some problems with my mental health… I just saw a therapist real quick on the break we had.” This drew sympathy from 5SOS fans, and stirred a larger conversation about seeking help for depression and other mental health issues. Clifford said he appreciated the support, if he also felt his comments were slightly blown out of proportion.

The band's Rock Out With Your Socks Out tour keeps rolling on, hitting Cleveland tonight (August 21).
