5 Seconds of Summer and Maroon 5 are going head-to-head in the battle of the "Daylight" songs. Whose tune comes out on top?

Let's just get one thing straight: 5 Seconds of Summer's "Daylight" is easily one of the band's best songs and it is a serious tragedy that it didn't make the cut on their self-titled debut album (fortunately for us, it was released on their Amnesia EP). Yes, it references things like Twilight and sci-fi, but it is also a total rock anthem with a cool, electric sound that differs from their other tracks and proves just how talented this band really is. Plus, Calum and Luke's vocals are on point throughout the whole vampiric-themed song. We just can't get enough of this one.

Maroon 5's "Daylight" is off of their 2012 album Overexposed and could easily be considered one of the band's signature songs. The hit went platinum in the U.S. and cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. Considering the fact that it features Adam Levine's trademark falsetto vocals and a booming, anthemic chorus, "Daylight" is definitely up there in Maroon 5's top songs. Not to mention that the music video is a genuinely inspirational ode to humanity -- and that's pretty powerful.
