Hip-hop toughie 50 Cent is ready to conquer Hollywood with his next big-screen project. The budding film mogul is developing an action movie called 'The Pursuit' through his production company Cheetah Vision Films, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The film is being directed by Jessy Terrero who has shot a slew of music videos for 50, as well as directed him in the straight-to-DVD crime thriller, 'Gun.' He also directed the critically-panned comedy 'Soul Plane,' as well.

According to the producers, 'The Pursuit' is about a cop and a felon who accidentally teamed up to hunt down an escaped bank robber whom both seek a personal vengeance against the man. Meanwhile, a hard-nosed U.S. Marshall is tracking both of the men to prevent more bloodshed and to ensure that the bank robber is brought back to justice in a proper way. Matt Johnson ('Into the Blue') penned the screenplay.

Casting is in its preliminary stages, but Fiddy has already signed up to play the cop role. Production on the film is set begin in Louisiana in February 2012. 50 Cent can be seen next in the football drama 'All Things Fall Apart,' starring opposite Mario Van Peebles and Ray Liotta ('Goodfellas'). The movie is slated for an early 2012 theatrical release.
