If you ever wondered how 50 Cent maintains his muscular physique, well, he's going to show you how in his new fitness book. The New York rapper recently inked a deal with Penguin Group’s Avery Books imprint for a workout book called 'Formula 50: A Six-Week Total Body Transformation Plan.'

According to HipHopDX, the book will focus on cardio and muscle resistance training to help people build strong minds and healthier bodies. Fiddy will also offer some nutritional tips, as well.

"I had a strong desire to write this book because it's very important to me to help people make positive changes and take charge of their overall health," he said in a press release. "Formula 50 is a radical six-week mind-body transformation plan geared to help readers develop mental toughness to achieve optimum results while offering a nutrition component."

50 is co-writing the book with Jeff O'Connell, the editor-in-chief of Bodybuilding.com, and Avery Books' editorial director Megan Newman will edit the work. This will be the rapper's fourth title following 'Playground,' 'The 50th Law' and his biography, 'From Pieces to Weight: Once Upon a Time in Southside Queens.'

This is a great book idea and is sorely needed in the rap game. With so many rappers (and celebrities) dying at a young age due to poor health, it's good to see 50 Cent promote health and fitness for the hip-hop generation.

'Formula 50: A Six-Week Total Body Transformation Plan' is expected to hit bookstores in January 2013.
