If you thought Will Smith's return to music, after ten long years of zero musical prospects, was a one-time thing beginning and ending with his cameo on Bomba Estereo’s “Fiesta” remix, you’d be wrong. Not only is Smith in the process of recording a full-length album, but he's gearing up to go on a possible tour with DJ Jazzy Jeff come summer 2016.

During an interview on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show, Smith revealed that he’s already recorded around 30 new songs and that of those, he has “six or seven that I really, really like, that I’m trying to get the ideas to come out right…I’m shaking the rust off, knocking the dust off.”

When talking about his nerves regarding his first huge musical release in over ten years, Smith admits that his continued success in both acting and music has harbored this fear of failure that makes it hard to take risks.

He said, "It seems like [success] should breed confidence, but it actually doesn’t...When you win a lot and you lose the ability to lose, you’re not allowed to lose anymore. You actually lose the ability to create...Fear is the killer of creativity and there’s also a misconception about failing…you have to fail early, you have to fail often and you have to fail forward.”

There's no word yet as to when Smith will release his next full-length album, but he's working on it. He said, "I'm definitely interested in pushing the envelope of spittin'—how far can you go? I'ma keep giving it a shot up until I'm 70 or 80 years old...I'm just trying to still find that voice. I have so many things that I wanna say. I'm struggling with saying them in a way that fit the flavor of music that I tend to like."
