She might have only just turned 18 years old, but Bromley-bred singer Abi Hudson's already spent years forging a name for herself in London.

Having performed at venues like the Underbelly and the Sebright, as well as Pixie Lott's Ella Guru showcase, the young artist's already become a stage fixture, putting in work as she prepares to release the material she's been working on behind-the-scenes.

Hudson's debut single "Fragile Around You," an immediate, chill-inducing blend of big power pop melodies and howling vocals in the vein of big belters like Ella Henderson, Jess Glynne and Leona Lewis, earned her early blog buzz and Internet acclaim late last year.

Now, she's back with another gem from her forthcoming EP, due out later in 2017.

"Warm in the Room" was produced and co-written with Terry Ronald and Steve Anderson, longtime collaborators and pop legends in their own right, responsible for cuts for everyone from Kylie Minogue to Britney Spears.

The lush piano-led ballad puts Hudson's capable and captivating vocals at the forefront of the production. It's a vulnerable affair: "On the street, I recognize your face in every busy place / The eyes of every stranger / Then a breeze glides over my skin, the scent of you it brings / The comfort and the danger," she wistfully croons.

"'Warm in the Room' is a really special song for me, I love its simplicity," Abi tells PopCrush.

"It really allows you to focus in on the lyrics and story. In short the song is about loss. I’ve never really told anyone explicitly what it’s about because I want people to take their own meaning from it, but if you’ve ever experienced loss, be that losing a loved one, breaking up with someone or whatever it may be, I think and hope this track will make a lot of sense to you."
