Adam Lambert sang 'Better Than I Know Myself' on 'Ellen' yesterday and discussed his December arrest, shrugging off the incident as a "bad night" caused by too much alcohol.

Lambert has always maintained that the arrest, which happened after he got into an argument with boyfriend Sauli Koskinen at a Finnish nightclub, was blown out of proportion, and that he and Sauli were still happy together. He was eager to discuss the situation during his conversation with Ellen.

"Everybody has their ups and downs, things happen," he explained. "When you add alcohol to a situation, things can get out of control and some people can get upset and emotional, and what happened was we had too much to drink. We screwed up. There was no injuries, no violence. It was more of just childish, foolish messiness."

He continued, "What I learned from the experience was that I owe it to myself, to my loved ones and to my fans to be a little more adult and pull it together. New Year's resolution was, we're cleaning up the act, we're juicing and exercising, and I feel amazing."

Lambert went on to perform 'Better Than I Know Myself,' showing off the voice that first impressed millions of viewers on 'American Idol.' The song is taken from his next album 'Trespassing,' which comes out on March 20.
