Adam Lambert wants to live life to the fullest on 'Never Close Our Eyes,' the latest release from his forthcoming 'Trespassing' album.

The song is all about enjoying your time with a special someone, since you never know how much time you'll have. The lyrical theme is established right away with a slowed-down version of the hook, "I wish that this night would never be over / There’s plenty of time to sleep when we die / So let’s just stay awake until we grow older / If I had my way we’d never close our eyes."

'Never Close Our Eyes' feels like an Adam Lambert song, but it also reflects the talents of his collaborators, Bruno Mars and Dr. Luke, who wrote and produced it. The track features a hint of Luke's up-tempo dance sound while retaining Mars' melodic pop sensibility. The pulsing beat and hand claps give way to an acoustic guitar during quieter portions of the song, while Lambert pushes into the upper reaches of his vocal range throughout the track.

The glam rocker continues, "I don’t wanna let a minute get away cause we got no time to lose / None of us are promised to see tomorrow and what we do is ours to choose / Forget about the sunrise, fight the sleep in your eyes / I don’t wanna miss a second with you."

'Never Close Our Eyes' will be available on iTunes on Apr. 17, while 'Trespassing' is now officially set for May 15.
