The 'American Idol' alum gave his WhoSay followers a sneak peek at his new video for 'Better Than I Know Myself,' which gives us a warm, low key, softer perspective of Lambert. Even more exciting? Lambert gave some special first listens of his upcoming album, 'Trespassing' -- and the reviews are spectacular.

EQ Music Blog was one of the sites treated to the five-song preview, and they couldn't have loved it more. EQ lauded 'Trespassing' as "album of the year," claiming that the record fuses "together rock, dance-pop and a little dubstep and does it expertly." Good job, Lambert!

Popjustice agreed, but noted that first single 'Better Than I Know Myself' is a misrepresentation of the rest of the record. The ballad stands alone in a crowd of dance rock, leading the reviewer to claim, “The song sets the album up to be boring and moody, but it’s not really boring. It is quite moody though.”

Based on the reviews, the title track is reminiscent of Queen's 'Another One Bites the Dust' -- a move that makes sense, as Lambert has performed with the legendary classic rock outfit live.

The track we're most excited to hear is 'Cuckoo,' which EQ described as "an extremely infectious song that demands attention right from the get go and is definitely one that you will all have on repeat for days." Popjustice concurred and transcribed the lyrics to the song's chorus: "I wanna lose my mind like a maniac / And cross the line never looking back / We're on the loose, getting crazy / And we've gone cuckoo / Gonna party til they take us away."

Sounds like a good time to us -- and it fits with what Lambert promised would be "party" and "sex" music. Not only is Lambert talented for days, he is also a man of his word!
