Adam Levine managed to publicly celebrate his one-year wedding anniversary with his wife, Behati Prinsloo, while simultaneously revealing that he (gasp!) also shaved his head.

Adam posted a photo of he and Behati on Instagram, showing off the newly revealed shape of his skull without specifically drawing attention to it, as though he doesn't care about the way this affects the rest of the world. Based on comments beneath the photo, the general consensus from fans is unclear as most users posted some variation of keyboard mashing as their reaction ("nfjdjdjxjndnd").

But dig a little deeper and you'll get some actual words and phrases clearly spelled out, the most frequent of which seems to be a succinct (and, well, rude), "No." Then there's the kind of sad question from fans like @ellabeylin who wrote simply, "Why Adam?" Still, others are more approving with user @cmmeredith76 writing, "With or without hair... Handsome and a lovely wife." Finally, some fans suggest that everyone chill out, with @elisabethdenise imploring, "STOP MAKING SUCH A BIG DEAL OUT OF IT."

Adam's reasoning behind the extreme cut is currently unknown — but we are not opposed to theorizing, and you shouldn't be either. Do you think the warm Los Angeles weather was too much for him to bear? In Maroon 5's song "Sugar" he sings, "'Cause girl you're hotter than a southern California day," like it's a compliment, as though southern California is unbearably hot. Perhaps, for Adam, it is.

Or was this change in appearance spurned by a personal or professional crisis? Maybe it has something to do with Maroon 5 reportedly being forced to pull out of the Chinese leg of their tour. Perhaps he actually likes the way it looks. We may never know the truth, but we care about your opinions. What do you think? Further, how do you feel? Is this a good look for Adam? Is it bad? Or, worst of all, is it just all right?
