Kmart and McDonald's? It's apparent that Adam Levine loves a discount, whether it pertains to clothes or food. The singer, who is designing an exclusive clothing line for Kmart and Shop Your Way, is a stylish and sexy dude, but he revealed in a recent chat that his idea of a great first date is McDonald's.

And no, not because he is cheap. So ladies, if you ever happen to find yourself being squired by A. Lev, expect to grab a Big Mac, fries and a strawberry shake but with good reason.

When asked about first date attire, the singer, 'The Voice' coach and fashion designer said, "I always like to dress up in a tuxedo and tell the girl to dress real fancy. I like to pick her up and go to McDonalds in a tuxedo." That's actually kinda romantic. Imagine going to Mickey D's dressed to the nines and the stares you'd get from the regular ol' customers looking to fuel up on fast food. Carrie Bradshaw and her Russian boyfriend, artist Aleksandr Petrovsky did just that in a 'Sex and the City' ep. And actress Hilary Swank went to In-N-Out Burger in her fancy gown after winning an Oscar a few years ago. She even brought her gold statue with her! It's a nice mix of high and low, right?

Levine joked that the McDonald's tux thing is "my move" and that "you don’t have to shell out a bunch of money on the first date."

It's also a good way to make a memorable first impression all the while providing an easy exit strategy. He said, "It’s a good, spontaneous, romantic thing you can do that’s also cost-effective. What if you don’t like the person? It’s only the first date. It’s the first time you’re hanging out — do something quirky and romantic. You don’t want to show it all off on the first date, you know? Dress fancy, but go to McDonalds. Her world will be so rocked. You might be able to take her to the opera afterwards. If you don’t like her, you can just take her home."

Bam!

So, girls, if you dream about having a date with Levine, know that you're going to grab a burger and fries and up your cholesterol.

Make note of these suggestions, too. He likes ladies who wear men's timepieces and dude's shirts! "I think women look great wearing men’s watches — a big, chunky watch," he said. We agree. A big timepiece on a dainty wrist is sexy.

A tailored top is also a plus. He said, "Men’s shirts also look good on women... just the shirt, that's what I prefer. There’s a lot of mixy-matchy things that you could make into unisex that I’m sure we could work on."

Two things he nixes? Too much perfume and makeup. Hear that, ladies? Keep it simple and scent-free.

Levine also said that his clothing line will stand out from the sea of clothing lines backed by other celebs because it will be constructed properly and will last. "I want it to be made well. I want it to be tasteful. I want it to be classic and simple. I want people to say, 'Oh my god! This is actually really good' when they expected it to suck," he said.

That has us psyched to see his pieces.
