Last night, British songstress Adele visited the set of E!'s 'Chelsea Lately.' Adele is a huge Chelsea Handler fan, and she could hardly contain her excitement as she sat down for the interview with the comedian. "My friends are gonna die," Adele said with a smile. As the pair chatted, Adele discussed her ex-boyfriends and her comical celebrity encounters.

Adele wrote her album '21' about an ex-boyfriend, and Handler asked what he thought about the album. Adele replied in her adorable Cockney accent, "Well, I think he's a bit bitter because the album's doing a lot better than anyone expected. And I think he's still hanging out in London in a shabby apartment ... He was alright, though. He wasn't as big of a prick as my first boyfriend. He was pretty good, but we're not friends ... So I don't really care."

Handler then asked Adele about her breakthrough appearance on 'SNL' a few years back. Sarah Palin was the host that night, and Adele had a slightly embarrassing, yet hilarious encounter with the Alaskan governor. "I thought she was Tina Fey," Adele laughingly told Handler. "I knew Tina Fey was there doing the impersonation, so I just assumed Sarah Palin was Tina Fey. So I was like (yelling), 'Tina!'"

The 'Rolling in the Deep' singer then told the story of the first time she met Diddy -- when she almost ran him over on a golf cart. "I saw him on the Columbia plot, on the Sony plot, and someone gave me a golf buggy and I can't drive very well. I was in full hair and makeup, so I thought I'd sort of, in a glamorous way, go over and introduce myself and say, 'Hi.' I got so excited. I put my foot down and I was like (shouting), 'Oh hey! Diddy!' But he kind of had to jump out of the way a little bit because I took my hands off the steering wheel [to wave]. But he was fine!"
