British neo soul queen Adele is going to be a Bond girl. The singer spilled the beans that she is headed to the studio in November to record a theme song and it appears as though said theme song is for the next installment of the James Bond film franchise. Adele and 007? What a match made in iconic film theme song heaven.

The 'Rolling in the Deep' singer appeared on Jonathan Ross' new talk show on ITV1 and that's where she gave pretty obvious hints about what "theme song" she is recording.

The Sun reports that Adele said she was headed to the studio November, and when pressed for more details about the who/what/when/where/why, she said, "Well, this is actually a theme. Wow, that's really giving something away."

Yes, Adele went there, opening herself up for further interrogation. The host asked, "A theme?" and then began to hum signature Bond music.

The only other information Adele offered up was that "it's a concept" and it's "one song."

While that's not an out-and-out admission, it sure is a big, juicy, obvious hint. Adele's pipes are a perfect complement to the world's most famous British secret service agent. The three constants about Bond films are that James Bond is always surrounded by hot women; that one or two of said hot women is the film's "Bond Girl" who makes a huge impact, embodies sophistication and glamour and is the love interest; and that the theme song for the film is always an event. Adele singing a Bond theme would be nothing short of brilliant.
