Adele is getting ready to release her new video for her latest '21' single, 'Someone Like You.' Although the songstress is going to premiere it on MTV on Thursday, Sept. 29, she let Access Hollywood broadcast a sneak peek before the full clip airs.

In the video preview, Adele can be seen walking along a river bank singing the opening lyrics of 'Someone Like You.' The shot is done entirely in black and white, and shadows overtake parts of the shot. The clip matches the mood of the song, considering it was written about heartache and trying to move on after a painful breakup.

As she sings, "I heard that you're settled down / That you, found a girl / And you're happy now," she gazes off into the distance before turning her eyes towards the ground. Her expressions further reflect the melancholy overtones of the song, as she seems distracted and can't keep her mind from thinking about her ex.

According to Idolator, the video was shot in the early morning hours in Paris. Jake Nava directed the clip, and said, "The location evokes style and romance. And shooting early in the morning allows you to focus on Adele in this lonely and emotional space.”

Tune in to MTV at 9:56PM EST on Thursday to watch the 'Someone Like You' video in it's entirety. The video will also be airing online on VEVO.
