In Round 1 of March Music Madness, Adele's 'Someone Like You' dominated over Lorde's 'Royals,' gaining 70.25% of votes, while Bruno Mars' 'Just the Way You Are' beat out Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' with 72.43% of votes. Now, the two songs are battling it out in Round 2 of the competition. Which tune is more iconic and deserving of being called the Greatest Pop Song of the Modern Era?

Adele's 'Someone Like You' is the kind of song that can stand the test of time. The piano-driven power ballad evokes an intensely powerful moodiness that is only further enhanced by the heartbreaking but honest (and scarily relatable) lyrics. The somber song perfectly shows off Adele's keen songwriting ability and her incredibly moving vocals. 'Someone Like You' also earned Adele a 2012 Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance.

Bruno Mars definitely puts on the charm in 'Just the Way You Are' -- but it's not just for show. As Mars perfectly belts out the heartfelt lines, listeners and fans everywhere just get a boost from the empowering and upbeat lyrics, which give women a helpful reminder that we're worthy "just the way we are." 'Just the Way You Are' was an enormous success for Mars -- it was certified five times platinum and nabbed the singer a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance in 2011.

Whose hit is the Greatest Pop Song of the Modern Era? You can vote for 'Someone Like You' or 'Just the Way You Are' once every hour until the polls close on March 18 at 12PM ET. The winning song will continue on to the next round of the competition!
