We're down to the final two songs of the 2010s! During Round 2, Adele's 'Someone Like You' beat out Bruno Mars' 'Just the Way You Are' with 56.28% of votes, while Katy Perry's 'Firework' dominated Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe' with just over 61% of votes. And now, the two iconic ladies of pop are going head-to-head with their drastically different hits in Round 3! It's down to the wire… 'Someone Like You' vs. 'Firework': Which tune is more worth of the title Greatest Pop Song of the Modern Era?

Adele's 'Someone Like You' earned her a Grammy in 2012 for Best Pop Solo Performance, and it's not hard to see why. The moving, piano-driven song is an emotional blockbuster of a hit, with Adele's perfectly poignant lyrics and powerhouse vocals driving home the song's concept of attempting to move on after an immensely difficult breakup. 'Someone Like You' is the kind of song that is reminiscent of iconic tunes of the past, but with the power and age-old message that will make it relevant for generations to come.

On the other hand, Katy Perry's 'Firework' is equally as strong, with the anthemic hit nabbing the singer two Grammy nominations. The song's upbeat and inspirational message of individuality is only furthered by Perry's majestic vocals, which give the song a bold and colorful feel as bright as the title itself. 'Firework,' which also landed the No. 1 spot on the charts, is a favorite of Perry's and is believed to be the most significant tune on her album 'Teenage Dream.'

Whose hit is the Greatest Pop Song of the Modern Era? You can vote for ‘Someone Like You’ or ‘Firework’ once every hour until the polls close on March 25 at 12PM ET. The winning song will continue on to the next round of the competition!
