Although Adele has already won two Grammys in 2009, she is far from jaded over being nominated. It was recently announced that the '21' songstress is up for six awards for the 2012 Grammys, including the coveted Album of the Year and Record of the Year, and the 22-year-old Brit is absolutely ecstatic over her nods.

Adele posted a message about her Grammy nods on her official website, thanking everyone who supported her and her music this past year. The message reads:

"Just home from New York, that’s my main excuse for not posting a message sooner, but I’m also completely and utterly lost for words. A couple days after finally being able to talk again I’m pretty speechless. Thank you so much to the academy for nominating this record for 6 Grammys!!! This has been the best year as it is but to end 2011 with this incredible achievement and honour is beyond anything I can express. Thank you to every single person who has taken a shining to this record, for making it have such an impact, this record has taken on a life of its own thanks to you. I made the record and you’ve made it what’s its become."

On top of her Grammy nominations, Adele has another accomplishment that calls for celebrating. Her 2011 album '21' is the best-selling album in the states this year so far, moving almost five million copies since its release according to Idolator. On top of this, '21' has bumped Amy Winehouse's acclaimed 2006 LP 'Back to Black' to become the best-selling album in the U.K. of the 21st century!

Congratulations, Adele! Now rest that voice up so you can wow us some more in 2012!
