Adele Started Working on Third Studio Album

Rejoice! It was merely a year ago Adele was telling Vogue Magazine that she was going on a five year hiatus, but according to Billboard she is already back to work on her third album.

She told reporters backstage at the Grammys, “I’m not very far along at all. I’m having lots of meetings. I’ve been in L.A. for the whole time since the (Golden) Globes, and I will be until the Oscars. I’ve been having lots of meetings.” She added,  ”I’ve been out of the loop really. I’ve been singing my baby nursery rhymes, so I don’t really know what’s cool and what’s not.”

Aww! She’s a total mom now! Before we know it she’ll be all about soft rock radio and shuttling bodies to and from soccer practice. Snap out of it, Adele! You have to be cool again!

She also mentioned that she’ll be be “visiting with” Paul Epworth again, much to the joy of music listeners everywhere as they famously collaborated on Adele’s best-selling album ’21′ as well as her song ‘Skyfall’ for the James Bond soundtrack.

Being a new mom and in a (mostly) happy relationship, we can probably expect a more upbeat sound to her next album — a stark contrast from her break-up anthem-laden ’21.’ She told Vogue last year, “…At least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy.”

You can catch Adele performing ‘Skyfall’ at the Oscars before she goes into hibernation to record her next album!
