Almost a year after scooping up an armful of Grammys, British songstress Adele picked up her very first Golden Globe Award tonight (Jan. 13) for Best Original Song for 'Skyfall,' her theme song for the latest James Bond film of the same name.

It was the first time we've seen Adele, who has been nesting and enjoying life as a new mom to her son, whose was born in October and whose name she has yet to release, in quite some time. What a way to welcome her back -- with a new, major award for her mantle!

Adele beat out fellow pop singer Taylor Swift who was nominated for 'Safe and Sound' and she was totally blown away by the fact that she won.

"Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God," she said when she arrived at the podium, looking lovely in a long, black dress. "Honestly, I've come out for a night out with my friend Nyda. We're new mums; we've literally come for a night out. I was not expecting this, thank you so much!"

She acknowledged that rubbing elbows with Hollywood's elite was a very new experience for her, saying, "It's very strange to be here, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your world for the night. It's amazing, we've been pissing ourselves laughing."

She continued, "I'd like to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press. I never thought I'd say that!" She also shouted out Daniel Craig, since he's "been such a wonderful Bond."

Adele closed out her speech by throwing a shout out to those who matter most -- her family! "And this is for my boyfriend Simon who convinced me to do it, and my lovely son. Thank you so much!"

Rats, we thought she was going to share his name with us.

Congrats, Adele. The singer is also up for an Academy Award for 'Skyfall.' Can she go two-for-two?
