It looks like the album we've been waiting ages to hear, Adele's follow-up to her colossal, record-breaking hit '21,' won't be out until closer to the end of 2015 -- and that's if we're lucky. Sigh.

While fans assumed the album would drop at some point early this year, nothing was ever absolutely confirmed. According to Music Business Worldwide, there's no pressure being put on Adele for her to get the album out as quickly as possible -- which is, actually, a pretty good (not to mention unexpected) move on their part. No one wants a rushed attempt, especially considering the massive success of its predecessor that will undoubtedly color Adele's efforts -- even if only subconsciously.

The bad news is there's simply no set release date at this time. And while we may be holding out hope for a late-2015 release, nothing has been definitively decided. In short, we have no idea when the album will be released.

A source said, "The album will be released when it's ready -- [we] hope that will be at some stage in 2015. That's all I can tell you right now." So it seems we've got quite a ways to go before hearing any new material from Adele. But considering her insane track record and what a huge success '21' was -- both critically and commercially -- we're definitely excited for her upcoming release, whenever it may be.
