Alicia Keys and Pharrell Attend Proenza Schouler Show

On Sept. 14, the Proenza Schouler fashion show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City attracted some serious star power. R&B songstress Alicia Keys and hip-hop producer/N.E.R.D. frontman Pharrell were both in the crowd for the runway show, taking in the Spring 2012 collection from the New York-based womenswear design team.

Keys, whose is married to producer Swizz Beatz, was flying solo at the show, while Pharrell sat next to a familar face -- MTV personality and British fashion icon Alexa Chung.

At the show, Keys kept it simple and very tasteful. The new mama wore a classically cut black cocktail dress that fell just below her knee. She wore matching black, pointed-toe pumps and carried a black purse as well. Keys, who looked subdued yet stunning, wore her hair in ringlet curls, and let her true beauty shine through with natural makeup. Pharrell, who is a fashion designer himself, wore his usual skater-boy/hipster chic look, donning a green sweater, a white V-neck T-shirt, and jeans. The most interesting part of his outfit had to be his Chanel leather kicks, which were all black except for the white, imposing signature C's on the toe.

Leave it to Pharrell to wear Chanel sneakers! We hope he doesn't go skating in those any time soon.
