AlunaGeorge Drop ‘Attracting Flies’

AlunaGeorge are the latest act in the new British invasion. The minimalist electronic-pop duo are attracting fans with their debut U.S. single 'Attracting Flies.'

AlunaGeorge are comprised of Aluna Francis, who contributes sweet, soulful yet almost childlike vocals, and George Reid, who provides production. 'Attracting Flies' features a bubbly synth and sparse but dominating beats, evoking the Neptunes -- the duo of which Reid cites as one of his biggest influences.

The group are the latest to follow the likes of Cher Lloyd, One Direction, the Wanted, the Saturdays and Little Mix to cross the pond, though they've had plenty of success on their own shores too: AlunaGeorge were nominated for a 2013 Critics' Choice Award at the BRIT Awards. and if the buzz surrounding 'Attracting Flies' is any indication, they're off to a running start. The pair's debut album from Island Records will hit shelves on July 1.
