'Teen Mom' star Amber Portwood is getting a new lease on life. She was released this morning (Nov. 4) from prison -- almost four years early!

The 23-year-old single mother had been serving a five-year sentence at Indiana's Rockville Correctional Facility following her December 2011 arrest on drug possession charges.

Even though she chose to serve out her full sentence instead of accepting the terms of a court-ordered drug program, she earned "good time credit" to gain the early release, a spokesperson for the Indiana Department of Correction confirmed. The earned credits were for good behavior behind bars and for taking part in a substance-abuse prevention program.

She was seen leaving the facility and greeting friends and family, including brother Shawn Portwood, who tweeted about his sister's early release over the weekend.

Tops on her post-jail agenda, according to Hollywood Life? Attempting to regain custody of her 4-year-old daughter, Leah.

The troubled former reality star has had a history of legal problems. Previous scrapes with the law lead to jail time on contempt-of-court charges and failing to appear for a hearing.
