Angela Miller – who now goes by “Angie” – gave another stunning performance on ‘American Idol’ tonight (March 5). The talented singer paid tribute to a past 'Idol' contestant by singing a passionate rendition of Colton Dixon’s ‘Never Gone’ at the piano.

Dixon placed 7th in the eleventh season of the show, and his debut album, 'A Messenger,' just dropped in January. Miller certainly did the tune justice with her powerful vocals and the emotion she put behind it.

“That was beautiful,” remarked Keith Urban. “When you play the piano, that’s when I hear you the clearest and truest.” Nicki Minaj was not easily impressed tonight, but Miller’s performance struck a resounding chord with her. “The trumpets should sound when you walk in the room, little girl,” she said. “I love what you do and I love that you do not stray too far from who you are.”

Randy Jackson praised her by saying, “You’re doing exactly the right thing in the right way. Keep on going!” Mariah Carey complimented her song choice and seemed genuinely touched by her onstage presence.

While the 'Idol' panelists still want to hear more of Miller’s original songs, they were clearly won over by her spot-on delivery tonight. What did you think? Discuss away in the comments!
