Angie Miller Is ‘Stellar,’ Sings Celine Dion’s ‘I Surrender’ on ‘American Idol’
On tonight’s episode of ‘American Idol’ (March 13), Angie Miller followed in Kelly Clarkson’s footsteps and sang Celine Dion’s ‘I Surrender,’ clad in a stunning black dress with an orchestra behind her.
Her delivery was polished and flawless, impressing the ‘Idol’ panelists and audience members alike. Keith Urban praised her ability to take a song from any genre and make it current. “The highest registers of your voice are so pleasing to the ear, and it’s just gorgeous to hear that range. I thought you knocked it out of the park,” he commented.
Nicki Minaj couldn’t stop gushing about her striking appearance. “Your legs are giving me everything I needed in life today.” She went on to state that Miller has the whole package. “You personify perfection,” she said. Randy Jackson was quick to agree. “This girl is in it to win it!” he exclaimed. “I loved every part of it, how you commanded the stage, your voice was crystal clear and in tune...wow! This is a competition now.”
Mariah Carey put it simply and summed up her performance in just one word: “Stellar.” What do you think, America? Does Miller have what it takes to be the next ‘American Idol?’
