Kree Harrison has already proven that she can conquer such genres as country and Motown, and on tonight’s episode of ‘American Idol’ (April 3), she convinced us that she’s born to sing classic rock as well. She stunned judges and audience members alike with her cover of Janis Joplin’s ‘Piece of My Heart,’ all the while showcasing the genuine, soulful spirit we all know and love.

“I feel like the show finally started tonight. That’s what’s up, Kree!” exclaimed judge Randy Jackson. “This girl can sing. She’s in it to win it!”

“You have an innate ability to choose your songs, and I think that really shows a true artist,” praised Mariah Carey. “Tonight’s performance, for me, was possibly my favorite.”

At the end of the performance, Harrison admitted to having suffered a pinched nerve (which Keith Urban picked up on), but unless you were looking very closely, you couldn't spot even the slightest bit of discomfort during her stunning onstage performance. How’s that for professionalism?

“Girl, you could’ve had a pinched nerve, got on my nerve, got on several nerves – that was magnificent,” gushed Nicki Minaj. “If I were tuning in, and I were on my ‘Idol’ app, you would get all 50 of my votes right now, because you’re stunning.”

It’s no secret that Harrison has been a serious contender on this season of ‘Idol’ so far. What did you think about her performance tonight?
