Nicki Minaj Reveals What to Expect From Her New Music

Nicki Minaj is talking up a storm lately. Her latest revelations? Who she's rooting for on 'American Idol' and what Barbz can expect from her upcoming followup to 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up.'

Minaj admitted that her favorites to snag the coveted 'Idol' title likely share her favorite color: pink. She wants it to be a win for the women!

"The stars have aligned and the girls that have come to audition for us have had just had strong voices like I don't know what," Minaj gushed to MTV News. "We narrowed it down to some great girls. I think we did a great job picking amazing voices, so I am actually hoping a girl wins this year."

As for new music from the Harajuku Barbie, you'll have to sit tight for a bit. "It's possible, but for right now, I'm about to shoot another single off 'The Re-Up,'" she said. "The song is called 'High School' with Wayne. And then I'll start working on that follow-up album. I'll be doing it here in L.A. while I'm shooting 'Idol.'"

As for the sound? "It's gonna be the direction of the new songs that I put out on the re-release." Here's hoping you like 'Freedom' and 'Va Va Voom!'
