American Idol Wild Card

Ashthon Jones, Stefano Langone, Naima Adedapo are 'American Idol' wild cards! How did it come to be that the Top 10 ballooned to a Top 13?

Well, 'American Idol' fans voted on their Top 10 favorites, split right down the middle between five males and five females. The judges selected six of the "leftover" contestants who were not selected as part of the fan-chosen Top 10 and gave them a reprieve. They each had the chance to perform one more time and join the Top 10 as part of the wild card round.

The Three 'American Idol' Wild Cards:

Naima Adedapo: She sang Donnie Hathaway's 'For All We Know' and Steven Tyler selected this colorful, unusual contestant to advance.

Ashthon Jones:
She's a young, hip version of Diana Ross, with a wildly gorgeous mane of hair. Her confident, assured reprise of 'And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going' caused Randy Jackson to declare, "I still love the attitude." Jones picked the right song to make her point and put her foot down.

Stefano Langone:
His take on Smokie Norful's 'I Need You Now' didn't make J. Lo cry; it just made her sort of orgasmic. "I don't shake like this when I perform," she said. Lookout!
