Amy Poehler Responds to Taylor Swift Comments

Taylor Swift is swiftly losing her status as America's Sweetheart, courtesy of the public verbal battles she keeps having regarding Harry Styles, Michael J. Fox, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

Her Vanity Fair cover preview, where she shared a quote about there being "a special place in hell for women who don't help other women," has caught fire, like the flames of Hades, igniting a response from Poehler.

Swift was miffed at Fey and Poehler for riffing on her dating life while they hosted the 2013 Golden Globes. Swift can't say she didn't bring it on herself, since she writes about her romances, and the hostesses were not being nasty. They were making jokes, which is what awards show hosts, ya know, do.

Nevertheless, Katie Couric passed the quote on to T. Swizzle and she used it in her feature to refer to Fey and Poehler. It was originally uttered by Secretary of State Madeline Albright.

The Hollywood Reporter tracked Poehler down for a comment, and she offered a typically hilarious response. She did express some, uh, remorse that Swift's feathers were ruffled by the love life jokes.

"Aw, I feel bad if she was upset," the actress and funny gal said. "I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff."

Poehler is going to hell and her friends probably are, too, so it'll be a whole lot of fun!

Maybe, just maybe, T. Swizzle can develop a thicker skin about being the punchline.
