Amy Schumer's putting it plain in simple: People who live in glass Barbie Dream Houses shouldn't be throwing hot pink stones.

Schumer, who was nominated for two Grammy Awards yesterday (December 6), said she's been under fire via social media since The Hollywood Reporter announced she's in talks to rewrite and star in a brand new live-action movie based on the iconic Barbie doll. More specifically, she wrote in an Instagram post that she's been on the receiving end of some serious fat-shaming, but she's not letting it go to her soon-to-be-rubber head.

"I am strong and proud of how I live my life and say what I mean and fight for what I believe in and I have a blast doing it with the people I love. Where's the shame? It's not there. It's an illusion," she wrote, adding that she's chalking up criticism to projection.

"Anyone who has ever been bullied or felt bad about yourself I am out there fighting for you, for us. And I want you to fight for yourself too! We need to laugh at the haters and sympathize with them. They can scream as loud as they want. We can't hear them because we are getting s--- done. I am proud to lead by example. I say if I'm beautiful, I say if I'm strong. You will not determine my story. I will," she continued.

THR reported on December 2 that Schumer would likely be at the helm of the Barbie project, which will dive into a "perfect land of Barbies where one woman slowly awakens to the fact that she doesn’t fit it. She is expelled from the idealistic land and journeys to the real world, where she discovers that being unique is an asset."
