In response to the devastating mass shooting that took place on June 12 at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Amy Schumer has reportedly decide to cut a scene involving guns from an upcoming film.

E! News reports that the actress, who is currently filming a yet-to-be-titled movie in Hawaii alongside Goldie Hawn, has nixed a scene with shows someone shooting a gun at a group of people. The news, which has not been confirmed yet by Schumer's camp, comes just days after 49 lives were lost in a horrific anti-LGBT attack in Florida.

Schumer has openly advocated against gun-related violence before. In October 2015, she appeared with her cousin, Senator Chuck Schumer, at a press conference to raise awareness on gun control just months after a gunman killed two moviegoers in a Louisiana theater as they were watching her film, Trainwreck.

"Gun violence is ripping apart America, it's ripping apart our families," she emotionally told the crowd. "And even those untouched by violence must every few days just look up in a stunned silence at another nightly newscast that reads like an obituary."

In April 2016, Schumer tackled the issue again, but with more levity, during a skit called "The Gun Show" on Inside Amy Schumer.

In the sketch, the comedian portrays a bubbly HSN or QVC-style host who is enthusiastically selling handguns to viewers watching from home, illuminating the nonsensical ways in which convicted felons and even suspected terrorists may be able to get their hands on assault weapons.

"You can absolutely get a gun if you have several felonies, as long as you buy it on the Internet or at a gun show," she tells one caller. "No one can tell you that you don't have a right to buy a gun in this country you're trying to destroy!"
