Since Amy Winehouse released her track 'Me & Mr. Jones,' there has been speculation that the songstress penned the song about Nas, whose birth name is Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones. Now, the rapper is confirming that 'Me & Mr. Jones' is indeed about him.

After delving deeper into Winehouse's relationship with Nas, it's clear she is singing about him, especially during these verses, "What kind of f--kery are you? / Side from Sammy you're my best black Jew / But I could swear that we were through (we were through) / I still want to wonder 'bout the things you do / Mr. Destiny 9 and 14 / Nobody stands in between me and my man / 'Cause it's Me and Mr Jones (Me and Mr Jones)."

When Winehouse sings "Mr. Destiny 9 and 14," she is referring to Nas' teenage daughter Destiny and the fact that the British songstress and Nas share the same birthday, Sept. 14. Apparently, the duo was even planning a joint birthday party before Winehouse's shocking passing.

Nas spoke to XXL magazine (via Hip Hop Wired) about his relationship with Winehouse and the song, saying, "I don't really remember if Salaam, who was really close to her, who introduced us, if he told me about it or not. I don't remember right now. But, I heard a lot about it before I even heard the song."

Nas and Winehouse were good friends, and there were even rumors that Winehouse once had a crush on the 'New York State of Mind' rhyme-slinger.
