Andi and Chris’ ‘The Bachelorette’ Date – What’s the Song?

Subscribe to PopCrush on

Tonight’s episode of ‘The Bachelorette’ (May 26) featured a romantic date between Andi Dorfman and suitor Chris Soules. The pair enjoyed a ’40s-inspired day at the horse tracks, ending their rendezvous with a sweet slow dance set to an equally sweet song. So what was that song?

The tune was ‘Roots and Branches (Meant To Be Alone)’ by This Wild Life, who joined Andi and her beau at the Santa Anita Park following the horse races for an acoustic performance. The musical duo, comprised of Kevin Jordan and Anthony Del Grosso, recently released ‘Roots and Branches’ as a single off of their upcoming debut album ‘Clouded,’ due out May 27.

The guitar-heavy ballad was, in Andi’s own words, the “icing on the cake” for her first date with Chris. Their dance on the tracks underneath the stars was a picture-perfect moment.
