Back in May 2012, '90210' and 'Nip/Tuck' actress AnnaLynne McCord chose to post an image of her face without makeup.

She tweeted: "I woke up this morning and decided I’m over Hollywood’s perfection requirement. To all my girls (and boys) who have ever been embarrassed by their skin! I salute you! I’m not perfect – and that’s okay…"

McCord has a few blemishes sprinkled across her forehead and cheeks, just like the rest of us. Her decision to share this image is incredibly brave and generous, bonding her with others who have similar skin issues as they combat adolescence and beyond.

McCord is a true inspiration and a superstar for sharing this shot. Kudos to the actress for effectively saying "screw you" to Hollywood's outdated, outmoded standards of beauty.
