Today (March 8) is International Women's Day, and many of our favorite celebs have taken to social media and posted their thoughts about how women have made a difference in society.

Celebrating the strides people have made for gender equality and the progress women have made in history, everyone from Ariana Grande to Madonna to Anne Hathaway to Cameron Diaz have shared their feelings and ideas regarding the day. Miley Cyrus showed her support with her signature sass and a photo that you can see here. Meanwhile Lena Dunham made over Rosie the Riveter for her homage.

While there are many who are happy about the progress we've made so far, stars like Nicole Richie, Chrissy Teigen and Kate Upton posted images of a blank Instagram photo with "not-there.com" on it. This campaign isn't to downgrade today but shed light on the fact that gender equality hasn't been fully reached yet and that there's still a lot of work to do. Emma Watson gave a talk on her campaign, HeForShe, today via Facebook to take on those issues as well.

Check out some of the Instagram posts that your favorite stars have posted in honor of International Women's Day.

Happy International Women's Day everyone!
