In short, the answer to the above question is "Yes." At least, if you ask Laidback Luke about it.

Scream Queens starlet, frequent demon dodger and personal doughnut glazer Ariana Grande has been oh-so-slowly teasing her brand new track, "Focus," for what seems like weeks now. (It has, in fact, quite literally been weeks.)

Mercifully, she's brought the single's Alfredo Flores-shot artwork into focus (eh heh) for her ever-thirsty Arianators this week, flaunting a platinum blonde do' while posing pretty and gazing thoughtfully into the distance, perhaps thinking of the various exorcisms she will be forced to perform before she can sleep soundly later that night.

But, wait up now! Hold on just a minute, says Filipino-Dutch DJ Laidback Luke.

Laidback Luke? Who? What? What's his deal? Luke's been spinning since the '90s, dropping singles with all the major dance floor titans like Martin Solveig and Steve Aoki and providing remixes for the likes of everyone from Mariah Carey to Madonna.

Okay, cool. And?

And, he's got an album coming out on November 6 called Focus. And something looks awfully...familiar.

"Happy to inspire you @ArianaGrande ; )" he wrote on Twitter tonight, along with a side-by-side comparison photo of the two covers. Meow.

To be fair, he does sort of have a point: Those covers are pretty similar, what with the whole black and white thing, and that font is most definitely the same...or at least close. And, like, they're also both called Focus!

But is this a case of pure creative coincidence, or has Ari gone full-on copycat? Perhaps the better question here: Is Laidback Luke the Scream Queens Red Devil?!

"Wait whhhhhhaaaattt???? THIS IS THE PART WHEN I SAY I DIDN'T COPY YA." - Ariana Grande in a text to Laidback Luke, maybe, at some point in the next day or two.
