Artist to Watch in 2012: Astro

Despite being eliminated from the 'X Factor,' burgeoning rap star Astro left a lasting impression on the judges and television viewers. At 15, this young'un has more swag than his adult peers in the rap game.

Since his ouster from 'X Factor,' the Astronomical Kid (real name Brian Bradley) had to shut down rumors that he's was signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label. The reports sounded plausible since Jay and Astro are from Brooklyn, N.Y., but the rapper insists that he's a free agent. “I have never met anyone from Roc Nation. I’d love to, but I’m not signed right now to anyone," he said.

Just weeks after losing on the show, Astro released a new mixtape cleverly titled 'Loser.' Don't worry, the rapper doesn't have any low self-esteemed issues.

As for Astro's future, skies the limit. Or rather, since he's so astronomical, his talent should take him to the moon and back. Good luck, Astro! -- Trent Fitzgerald
