Artists Who Are Better Off Solo: Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake had huge success with his wildly popular boy band 'N Sync -- how could he get any bigger than that? Easy.
Partnering with the Neptunes and Timbaland, Timberlake released his debut solo album 'Justified' in 2002. His first single, 'Like I Love You,' debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 100. Rather than distance himself from the pop sound that made him famous with 'N Sync, Timberlake embraced it and gave it a more sophisticated edge.
His second album, 'FutureSex/LoveSounds,' was even better than the first, and came on the heels of Timberlake's foray into the acting world, with celebrated roles in 'The Social Network' and 'Black Snake Moan.'
