Ashley Tisdale, ‘Gonna Shine’ – Song Spotlight

Ashley Tisdale is reincarnating the imperious yet loveable primadonna Sharpay Evans in a brand-new Disney movie, 'Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure.' The movie features an upbeat soundtrack including Tisdale's hit dance-pop song, 'Gonna Shine.'

The movie, which is a spin-off of 'High School Musical,' finds Sharpay trying to make it in the Big Apple. The lyrics to 'Gonna Shine' express the diva's positive, adamant outlook as she finally moves from her hometown to NYC:

"Gonna shine and make the moment mine / Now my time has arrived / Gonna shine so bright / The sun will run and hide / And I'll be the only star that lights the sky / I'm gonna shine," Tisdale sings during the song's chorus.

'Gonna Shine' features an uptempo beat that will surely all of Tisdale's fans dancing along to the music. Throughout the song, Tisdale brings some extra Sharpay sass as she transitions between verses with cheeky lines like, "So fab!," "Ring a bell that's my queue," and "Listen up fellas!"
