Ashley Tisdale recently spoke with JSYK about her newest film, 'Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure,' which sees the 'High School Musical' diva moving to New York City with hopes of becoming a Broadway star.

"You get to see the character in a totally different light. You always are used to seeing her stirring things up in all the other 'High School Musical' movies, and in this movie, it's her movie," Tisdale says of her character, Sharpay Evans. "You kind of have to not love to hate her, you have to fall in love with her. You get to see why Sharpay is who she is."

Tisdale, 25, also gave the rundown one some of the tunes that Sharpay sings as she makes her way in the Big Apple. The movie kicks off with the appropriately titled track 'Gonna Shine,' and then gives way to Sharpay's ode to her pooch, 'Me and My Boi.'

Tisdale also performs the song 'The Rest of My Life' at the end of the Disney original movie, but her favorite song is the one that precedes this track. Tisdale's favorite song in the whole movie is 'New York's Best Kept Secret,' because "it's the most vulnerable you'll ever see Sharpay." Tisdale continues, "She's just by herself on stage and I think it's a really beautiful song."

You can listen to all of the songs from the Disney flick by purchasing the soundtrack here. 'Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure' is currently out on DVD, and the movie will be premiering on the Disney channel on Sunday, May 22 at 8PM ET.
