Ava Max and K-pop group NCT 127 teamed up on a remix of Max’s single “So Am I,” out Wednesday (July 3).

Originally released on March 7, the dreamy pop anthem encourages listeners to embrace what makes them different from and take pride in their eccentricities. The song has already proved wildly popular on its own, with the video for “So Am I” amassing over 60 million views on YouTube and more than 31 million streams in the U.S.

The new version of the single now features lyrics in both English and Korean, with NCT 127 members Mark and Taeyong rapping on the track and providing their own spin on its uplifting, powerful message. Fans of NCT can also hear member Jaehyun beautifully harmonize with Max during the song’s chorus. This is NCT 127’s second collaboration with an American artist after releasing the track “What We Talkin’ About” with Marteen last year.

2019 has proved to be an impressive year for both Ava Max and NCT 127, with Max being nominated for a Teen Choice Award for Choice Pop Song for her smash hit “Sweet But Psycho,” and NCT 127 just wrapping up a sold-out, multi-city North American tour. By coming together on the remix of “So Am I,” they’ve taken another step toward diversifying the music scene.
