Avril Lavigne removed her Abbey Dawn clothing line from discount retailer Kohl's and is now upscaling the collection.

The singer previewed the edgy, rocker chic line's Spring 2012 collection. The line embodies Lavigne's feminine but punk rock aesthetic and next year, the singer will expand the range and scope, incorporating dresses, denim, skirts, footwear, handbags, purses and eyewear into the mix.

Since Lavigne is known for her unique blend of tough and femme -- who can pair hoodies with skinny jeans and sky high heels better than Avril? -- the entire range of items and accessories will adhere to that style.

The singer isn't stopping with women's clothing and accessories, either. She is also going to debut her first full menswear collection. Lavigne is "all in" with Abbey Dawn as she launches the second generation of the line, which did well at Kohl's during the partnership.

In the photo that previews the line, Lavigne is wearing the "After Dark" dress and the "Pretty Please" platform booties. The designs skew somewhat young, but they are more grown up than the junior's line that was sold at Kohl's. The edgy nature of the clothing should appeal to most rocker chicks out there and the customer base should extend beyond teens and co-eds this time out.

Abbey Dawn pieces will be constructed of soft, sheer cottons, burnouts, acid washes, garment washed fleece and rayon blends. Lavigne is also embracing bright colors and metallic foils in the designs.
