Avril Lavigne and Adam Lambert will join a host of other performers as mentors for aspiring teen singers on the new reality series 'Majors & Minors,' set to air this fall on the Hub TV Network.

The mentors will guide a group of 12 kids between the ages of 10 and 16. That's a wide range, especially when you consider that 'American Idol' Season 10 finalist Lauren Alaina was only 16. Would 10-year-olds really be able to compete with someone like Alaina? We'll have to tune in to find out!

Unlike most singing competition shows, no one will be voted off. One ultimate winner will receive a recording contract with RCA/Jive and a spot on a summer tour.

Other artists selected to mentor on the show include Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, Colbie Caillat, Jordin Sparks, Brandy and Mike Posner. Also on the list of mentors is Sean Kingston, who seems to have recovered from his jet ski accident.

The show premieres on Sept. 23 on Hub, a network catering to kids and families that is a joint venture of Discovery Communications and Hasbro.
