Avril Lavigne is known for her spunky, punky look, from her oft-color streaked hair to her Abbey Dawn clothing line. Now, the 'Wish You Were Here' singer has her aesthetic aspirations at her fingertips. Lavigne partnered with Sally Hansen to design some pop-punk inspired nail art.

Women's Wear Daily reports that Lavigne designed 12 different looks for Sally Hansen's Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips. The strips are, as aptly named, made from actual nail polish -- but they're faster, so you don't have to wait for them to dry when you're in a hurry.

"I was really excited about the Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips, especially since they're superquick," Lavigne told WWD. "You clean your nails, peel the strips and apply them, file and go. I'm superfast at it, so it takes me like five minutes to do my nails," she said.

Aside from the application speed, Lavigne was most excited about the styles she devised. "It's supercool because the designs that I came up with are my personal style and vibe: they're rock 'n' roll and fun and bright and colorful," Lavigne said. "You have sparkles and little stars — they are cute. For me, I’ll be flying on a plane and be like, ‘Sh--, I need to do my nails.’ I can do these on a plane; I’ve done them in the car." That last part scares us a little. Av, we love you -- so we hope you were a passenger in the car when you did that!

Lavigne had so much fun with her nail designs that she's considering expanding into other beauty areas as well, telling the mag, “I think it would be cool to do hair color.”

In addition to her fashion line, Lavigne's also spawned three fragrances, so the moves make sense. “Spring 2012 is a full lifestyle collection — we have footwear, eyewear, swimwear, bags and men’s clothing [as well as women’s clothing],” Lavigne told WWD. “Having the nails is great because it kind of completes it all.”

And her manicures probably look extra cute when she's holding hands with beau Brody Jenner!
