Azealia Banks Ends Feud with Kreayshawn, Starts Twitter Beef With Jim Jones
Azealia Banks is infamous for starting Twitter beefs with a few female rappers. She has taken jabs at Iggy Azalea and Lil Kim on the social-networking site. Most recently, Banks tweeted a warning shot at Nicki Minaj. On Sunday (Aug. 5), however, the Harlem rapper ended her feud with Kreayshawn.
The beef started in January when Banks mistook Kreay’s retweet to a porn website as a diss. “You think you’re funny?” Banks wrote. “You’re a dumb b—-. And you can’t rap. I’ll sit on your face. … Fall back slore Lol.” Ouch!
Last Sunday, the ‘Liquorice’ artist wrote an apologetic tweet to the ‘Gucci Gucci’ rapper for misreading her tweet and lashing out at her on Twitter. “I apologize for coming down on you so hard earlier this year. It’s all G! I fux with you music above all!” Banks tweeted to Kreay. “I [misunderstood] that pornhub rt. I can be really defensive sometimes. I’m just naturally rude. LMFAOO it’s a NY thing… I can’t help it.”
Banks even offered up a collaboration with her and up-and-coming rapper Angel Haze of which Kreayshawn gladly agreed responding, “I’m down!!! FIRE FUEGO!!”
Interestingly, shortly after Banks ended her feud with Kreayshawn she then exchanged heated words with fellow Harlem rapper Jim Jones. According to XXLMag, the argument was over the correct definition of the term “vamp.” WTF?
Apparently, Banks tweeted out the definition of vamp as “A very sexually/financially powerful woman who is usually characterized by a penchant for dark things; night, witchcraft, .. Etc.,” which cause one of her followers to remind her that Jim Jones came up with the “Vamp Life” term.
Jones chimed into the conversation tweeting, “[that] vamplife is contagious.” Banks then responded, “That vamp s— is some fashion stuff as well[,] in case u didn’t know,” adding “don’t be tryna take no credit Holmes.”
Jones then fired back with “knock it off please learn more about Harlem before u start vampin lol jokes enjoy ur day keep #vampin.” Banks then told Jones to “go away” to which Jones replied, “tell ur mother to go away ub2 bit slore.”
So is this what hip-hop has become now — Twitter beefing over the word “vamp”? We don’t know what to think of this new Twitter feud. In the end, it’s not that serious, folks. Let’s get back to the music.
